We are pleased to introduce you to Joe Lesher, the Roof Academy’s June Member of the month! Joe is the owner and founder of Lesher Roofing and Siding serving Pennsylvania.

Joe is a proud native Pennsylvanian, Army Infantry Veteran, and third generation contractor. Growing up in Pennsylvania he spent his teenage years working on projects with his father, learning the trade early on. After serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom as a Sergeant of Infantry in the Army National Guard and graduating from Shipensburg University with his MBA, Joe was ready to launch his own business and soon Lesher Roofing was born.

What is your favorite part about working in the roofing industry?

It’s ups and downs!

What is the most challenging part about your role?

Balancing the multiple hats that you wear when you first get started and managing the folks that you train.

How long have you been a member of the Roofing Academy?

Almost 2 years, joined in October 2018.

What is the most valuable part of your Roof Academy membership?

The coaching calls!

What advice would you give a newcomer to the roofing industry?

RUN! Just kidding!

But seriously, know that you don’t know everything and you will need to find the right people to help you fill in the gaps in your expertise.

What was your first job ever?

I was cutting grass for neighbors at 12 years old.

What does your ideal day off look like?

I will let you know when I get one!

Sandwiches.

Favorite Sports Team?

My Philadelphia Eagles.
